WIPEX: New Journey, New Breakthrough --Land Secured in Zhejiang for 40,000 m² Spunlace Nonwoven Plant

HAINING, Zhejiang, China, Nov. 3, 2026 – WIPEX has acquired land in Zhejiang for a new company-owned manufacturing plant, with pre-construction work scheduled to begin next year. The planned 3.3-acre site will include 40,000 m² of ISO Class 8 (100,000-class) cleanroom production space—four times the footprint of its current plant. Once operational, the facility will house 50 production lines, tripling the current number, and lift monthly capacity to 2,400 metric tons, quadrupling current output. The added capacity is intended to meet rising global demand for industrial, household, beauty-care and medical cleaning nonwoven wipes.

Planned Fourfold Capacity Increase and Expanded Cleanroom Scale

The planned plant will house 50 production lines, tripling the company’s previous line count. With the expanded cleanroom footprint and line configuration, WIPEX expects to operate one of the larger dedicated spunlace nonwoven products manufacturers in the region, serving customers who require consistent, high-volume supply of disposable nonwoven cleaning wipes.

The project comes as WIPEX continues to scale its OEM and private-label business. Our company currently collaborates with customers in more than 80 countries and maintains over 1,000 active OEM products, spanning industrial wipes, household cleaning wipes, beauty-care wipes, and medical wipes

Rooftop Solar and Automated Packaging to Cut Carbon and Improve Consistency

The plant is designed for sustainability: the entire rooftop is slated for full solar PV coverage, which is expected to reduce operational carbon intensity and support WIPEX’s broader low-carbon manufacturing goals. The move is part of the company’s green smart manufacturing roadmap, which includes renewable-energy integration and traceable sourcing of materials across its nonwoven supply chain.

On quality control, the new plant will add fully automated packaging lines. Automating end-of-line packaging is expected to reduce manual handling variation, improve batch-to-batch consistency and protect product integrity from converting through shipping. The facility is designed to operate under ISO 9001 quality management systems, with traceability controls applied across the supply chain.
