Industry Shift: Non-Woven Wipes Go Green

The non-woven wipes industry is pivoting hard towards sustainability. Faced with plastic waste concerns and stricter regulations, manufacturers are now prioritizing eco-friendly solutions.

The focus is on two key innovations: plant-based materials and advanced recycling. Leading brands are rapidly adopting fibers like bamboo, cotton, and wood pulp, bonded with bio-plastics that break down in industrial composters. Simultaneously, significant R&D is going into creating truly flushable wipes that disintegrate rapidly, preventing sewer blockages.
